Excellent movie! I thought the movie captured the book's turn-of-mood to a darker, alienated theme.
Also the showdown between Dumbledore and Voldemort was the single best movie fight-scene I have ever watched. IMO it easily surpassed Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, you name it...
Many reviews say that the movie rushes past endearing character development and humourous moments. Granted the films pace is faster that previous HP's, but still time to love the players.
If you see this movie for only one reason, go to watch the character Delorus Umbridge.
Our son took the wife and me to go see it. It was well done but, I too feel that the movie was a bit too short and more could of been offered. Really, I think the producers were trying to save some money by shaving off time and leaving the book to explain things.
For the escape from reality, go see the movie and enjoy it! The boogie man won't get you!!
My grandson just downloaded it yesterday off the internet somehow.
He already saw the movie last week at a midnight preview show.
Snoozy..who would rather see Johnny Depp in "the Pirates" again...
