I had a vasectomy 18 years ago.

My wife and I decided it was the best way.

I fact what sort of clinched it was that an Elder who was a good friend had had it done and said we should consider it.

I also asked another Elder , one who was a real stickler for WT rules, about it, who checked out a Watchtower article with me and said it was OK to have it done.

After I had left in 1999, I heard that they had changed the ruling.

Cultswatter, you have noticed the same inconsistency as I have. I think it is all about the individual who is moderating at the time. A couple of them, who shall remain nameless, can be quite arbitrary. In fact, the last time I brought this up I was erased by one of them for using the words inconsistent and arbitrary.

Vasectomies were bad. Then not-so-bad. Now bad again.
