I recently stopped because of the large amount of recycled information. Do you still read them? I really need some new light!!! 1935 was not enough.

I read the magazines more thoroughly than I ever did. I used to read the Awake but only skimmed the WT except when I studied for the meeting. Now I read the magazines from cover to cover. It helps me remember that I didn't make a mistake walking away from the organization.

Yes, SMS, I've come to the same conclusion, there's less research in WT and AW articles. Is it that people who have taken over H. Peloyan are less imaginative, less thorough, or that there are fewer people in the redaction department to gather information...or is it just weariness on the reader's part ?

I rarely if ever get them anymore. But once in a while, I will see if the official site has anything new to offer (or to see what they are recycling). When I do get one of those pieces of crap, I will look through to see if there is any "new light" (which only happens if someone sends me a "care package") and then shred it. I find that I can usually get more up to date information from this forum than I could by attending the meeting, and I am not risking being recaptured by logging in here.

No. There's an elderly couple at my old KH that occasionally send me a mag in the mail - one that has a particular article on 'coming back to the organisation' usually, and they urge me to read it and take it to heart... HOWEVER - I don't want to keep going over and over all this stuff that I don't believe anymore and jamb my mind full of useless and false info. Generally I can get about 3 paragraphs into an article before they bring the F&DS into the picture and I toss it.(my cookies AND the mag!) I just can't stomach it anymore - it's not TRUTH no matter what a nice package it comes in.
If there's anything of interest it will be posted here or another forum anyway. I always read Blondie's comments on the study articles - really that's TOO much information - lolol.
I'm actually just now getting to the point that I'm thinking I need to completely make a break with anything to do with the WT - it's been 6 years since I learned of the UN/NGO and Silent Lambs. 6 long years of hashing and rehashing every WT doctrine - it's enough - I'm thoroughly convinced that I didn't make a mistake in running away.
Wonder why I'm still drawn to these forums tho' - I really do like to read and discuss spiritual things - and I live out in the 'boon-docks' with no one to talk to about such things. So here I am. I've tried other (non-JW)Christian forums - and they're the same or worse than JW's with their condescending attitudes and willingness to send to to 'hell' if you don't agree with them - they're all the same really - different wolves in different sheep skins.
Sorry about going off topic there - just a small tangent...
The answer's still 'NO'. Lol.

ps - there is no 'new light'. Jesus Christ is THE light, and through him we may become 'enlightened' - but 'new light' is a WT invention - and they shine a false light directed onto themselves, even adding to the 'Good News' about 1914 - pure BS. They have no part in man's salvation - what a grand lie they've manufactured! Jesus is THE Way, Truth and Life - and Light. You certainly shouldn't depend on the WT for light - they are in darkness concerning the Messiah. Read your Bible for yourself - read Jesus' words - answer his call to 'come to me'. He'll shine some light on you! As that Cajun Chef would say - "I gar-own-tee it"!
