That was beautiful JD, it brought up such a powerful image in my mind. Thank you for sharing your work. Im sure the other things you have written are just as good.

    No one knows.

Yet belief floats like helium-filled laughter fluttering away echoed in a rubber spirit.

    No one knows.

Yet dwellers baffle their doubts with “certainties,” willing to fight for the death acknowledgment of some long lost child strung up in torture, their crimson-ringed eyes set below pointed brows tinged with venomous flared nostrils for any who doubt their mantra.

    No one knows.

Yet everyone knows scattering the answers to life’s questions across nations like play money with values clearly printed, forgetting to ask questions.

    No one knows but me.

Thanks for sharing that Joe Doe, I really liked that.

I'm sort of a poet myself, though it's hard for me to get into a creative mindset to write. I feel similar to you; I don't feel that many of my writings are worth sharing. I have a few works that are unfinished; that I work with a little at a time. Nonetheless, your post here has inspired me to get to writing some more.

Thanks guys. This one is a few months old.

    With a glistening sadness,
    The damp moonlight shimmers,
    Passing in shivering, wondering skies.
    A mother murmurs softly,
    To a bustling babe sobbing,
    He closes his eyes
    In the darkness.
    A home for the nursing
    A man calmly fading,
    Feeling with dimness,
    The shimmering sadness
    Of the dark evening sky.
    The damp breeze christens
Bare on napes and soul sighs
    Grows to a gale of
The night force where we all
    Will lie.

I wrote this one a few years ago. It's more fun.

    Road Trip

    I’m going on a journey,
With Never and Can’t and Shouldn’t,
To the edge of Responsibility and Reason.
Fear and Frustration wont’ be coming,
    They’ve always been unruly.
    Addle-Brained and Soft-Headed
    Are more to my liking.
    I have my own understanding
    With Nincompoop and Nitwit.
They’ll stay behind with Conventional Wisdom.
Eccentric and Askew are clever little boogers.
I think I’ll get along just fine
    With these insightful fellows.
