All the doctines, hellfire, purgatory, triity, soul, all that.
But dont' believe the FDS has already been appointed nor do I believe that b/s should have to put in a report, dont' believe in the elitism of the 144,000, or 1914 and other dates, or the way the congregations are governed. NO ONE is master over anyones faith.
I feel so messed up now I have left that I still don't know what I believe. They mess with our minds so much that when you leave you feel totally confused about everything.
Other than strange doctrines about the end, what JW belief is there that is not taught by at least one other religion?
Nothing that is unique to the JWs, their entire theology since it was produced by incompetent indivduals without a proper grounding in the field of religion or philosophy has always been worthless and gradually gets rejected by the JWs themselves. So much for God's sole inspired religious teachers on earth today the only valid source of religious doctrine.
that evolution is a proven fact. wait a moment - JW don't teach that, do they?
* No hellfire (this is always a big debate between me & hubby..he says I'm definetly going for not beliving!)
* That preachers should not be paid
* No Trinity
Jehovah Witness' teach some very basic beliefs that cannot be easily disputed and even if you went to a library as I did and did the independent research on the basic doctrines and holidays, They are right!
Then after getting your mind and teaching you "Where did you learn ALL this"? From the GB/FDS and the Org, they Hoooook you on everything else and that is where they get you in their grasp, then start teaching bizzare teachings and twisted scriptures and that is where the wheels fall off for many who see through it.

That's the way the con-game works. Start with truth and then slip in the big lie. I personally won't accept a blood transfusion. And I'm very dubious about anything the drug industry has for sale. They make more money than the oil companies.
I still believe that when we die that it if something to happen in a after life then fine if not I'll never know. I still consider myself a christian so I proably buy a cross who cares whether Jesus died on a cross or a stake he still died so why not express that.
