Good job, Jeff. Thanks for speaking for all of us and many of the Jws we love and treasure. No one should have to choose between their safety and their religion(not faith in God, but religion!)

Very good work Jeff
Thanks Jeff.
I admire the efforts of those who put the word out there.
Absolutely fantastic!
Observador.
I like how you briefly mention how easy it is for someone to access this info on the internet, while in the privacy of their own home.
That was a very nice touch, to possibly get a 'thinking' j-dub to put away their fears and research the reality of this cult.
I'm sure you specifically mentioned it for that very reason.
Yes - precisely the intent. Likely the local jdubs will circulate this letter more than anyone else who will just read it in passing. I hope some do look up the facts.

ROFLMAO at that one jk666. Jeff
Any other success stories with letters to papers?
I hope we can inspire a grassroots approach to this - if the letter is tied to significant news stories the papers seem anxious to publish. At least here. This is a small town and perhaps they don't get that many letters to choose from - a big city might be harder to crack.

Very well written Jeff, I'm quite impressed!
Jeff,
Nice job! I was wondering if anyone had had any success with the letter to the editor idea.
Like you said, it's an approach that can be used for a a few months still, when done the way you did it. Maybe your success will move a few more folks to try it.

Nice article, too bad it will not reach its target audience. Just viewing the reader comments makes this loose its credibility. You can tell that almost 90% of those who responded are ex-jw with an axe to grind and are bitter. I mean there is even a response from someone that is even longer than the main article! When you get an article like this to a well known news site and with out the maniac responses from bitter ex-jw's then more people would read it. Right now it just looks as a joke, not the article, just the comments. It makes it seem that all that ex-jw's do is search for stuff like this to write their views down (which is what some actually do).
Thanx seeker4.
R6 - point taken. I know what you mean. But hopefully the print audience is hit. That audience is the local Jdubs [if any are having doubts], and the general public that need protection from the cult. Some will of course see it on the internet - and hopefully they will read the article and not pay attention to any rabid xjw's or rabid jw's. I have not looked at the comments you mention, so no gets offended.
I am a bit rabid myself at times.
Jeff
Great, Jeff!
