We were only allowed to use the bathroom once during the meeting and if you had to go again then when we got home we would get grounded or yelled at.
Were you allowed to use the bathroom during meetings?

I used the bathroom as my escape for boredom, but it sucked to go in there and see little kids getting there ass beat.

We were told to go before the meeting and after. If we needed to go during, you better believe mom or dad was going with you and you were not going to be a happy camper when you got back.
My cousin always had bladder infections when we were teenagers, she always held her water, as instructed by her strict JW dad, and as she got older she couldn't kick the habit!

Welcome to the board!
This account is regarding two adults: we went to a morning meeting, not our own. Full of coffee and arriving for the opening song, we dutifully went to our respective seats and whipped out the hymnals. After the public talk was over, we dashed to the restroom while the WT intro song began. When we returned to our seats, the WT conductor/tyrant/intimidator glared at us and lectured on for five full minutes about our irresponsible behavior.

What the rule was in our area was that a parent had to accompany the child to make sure that they took care of business and came right back and did not:
- Wad up toilet paper and see who could get it to stick to the ceiling
- Splash water on each other
- See what they could flush down the toilet
- Turn on the water and then leave waiting for the flood
- Pee on the walls
Ohh you we're talking about kids, I thought that list was the no no's for some of the adults. lol

Bathrooms were a place of torture, see kids getting the shit kicked out of them for just being kids, like if you want to Witness abuse go to the kingdumb hall shitter, Where's Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC when you need him?

The sneaky kids waited until the end of the song to go. Then they were last in line and all the adults cleared out. Then hilarity ensued.

Eff, in this area all the restrooms are wired for sound and the kids can hear the meeting, and have been since I was a kid, many moons ago

I lived in Southcentral Oregon in dinky little towns for the most part growing up. There were a couple halls in the wider area that did have this, but not the specific ones I attended, with the exception of the new one that went in between Coquille and Myrtle Point when I was in high school. But the rule wasn't really about not hearing the meeting IMO, it was about control.
I think I had the luck of attending the decrepit old halls..... along with the heat pumps that didn't work and the "Mother's Room" that had been converted from a broom closet. In fact, I remember one hall didn't have sound in that either... just one of those wooden slatted doors. Yikes!

I would say yes, and that it wasn't really frowned upon at our hall...which now that I think about it, seems strange. They were such sticklers for other things.
At our hall, we'd have a fairly regular bathroom attendance, kids included, during each part of the Sunday meeting. I bet if I'd have kept track I'd probably find that we would have about 5 people going to the restroom during each part on average. It seemed like one person would just get back from the restroom and sit down and another would get up and go to the restroom. Of course, there was the usual rush during the middle song as well. We even had one brother who would spend a good ten to fifteen minutes in the bathroom utilizing the facilities to the full, if you know what I mean, almost every Sunday and usually during the WT. I guess his body was that regular or maybe that is what he thought of the WT study. The reason I know this is because of hearing other brothers joke about it and also being in the restroom at the same time as he once in a while.
Hmmm...what memories I take away from my 5 years of meeting attendance!

If you see something about the way someone is treating their kids please say something to the parents! Because what they are doing to them is ABUSE. Especially if they are 7 and under, since kids those ages don't have the same bladder size as kids that are older. I personally got in trouble for having to go the the bathroom when I was real young. And remember the humiliation to this day. If you say something to the parents at least they know someone is watching them. I never did understand what the big deal was about the 'you can't go the bathroom' during the meetings . Like your really missing anything.
Just 1 persons opinion.
