It depends on the congregation and how she wound up with an "unbelieving mate". If she married "out of the truth" because she was weak it is usually viewed differently than if she became a witness and her husband didn't. A lot of time the unbelieving mate it treated like royalty a social gatherings because they are trying to suck him (or her) in. I would also be concerned about how your son deals with having a jw wife. Although he isn't a JW he will be living under a lot of their rules. For instance if his company has a Christmas party he either won't go or will go alone. This also goes for having people over for holidays and birthdays. If he wants to have people over for a special occasion she won't want to participate. Behavior like this from witnesses tends to isolate the spouse from thier friends. Things might get a little rocky for them at times. Hopefully she will wake up and get out.

    Hi, lav.

Do your son and his wife plan to have children? It's really hard for JW kids who have two JW parents. If one parent is "worldly," particularly if it is the husband, the kids can still have birthday parties, go to cousins' birthday parties perhaps, have Christmas at Grandma's and other normal activities. If both parents are JW's, the kids live in hell at school and are forced to sit still for hours at the Kingdom Hall.

If they are going to have children, please pray that he does not submit to baptism.

    Regards,

    SandraC
