I thought from the title of the thread that this had to do with the ark and Armaggedon and another false date set by the society!

Of course the reality is that it will feel like Armaggedon has hit, once those transition contractions kick in!

Remember the midwives' motto for a good delivery: "Hugs not drugs"

If you are bad with blood, focus on your beloved's face. You wouldn't be the first Dad to pass out in the delivery room.

This is the beginning of a great adventure for you both and I wish you all the best!

    LOL!

"Five weeks will pass quickly" , you said something like that. It will pass quickly for you, but the poor mama will feel each agonizing minute that baby is sitting on her bladder! The last week is killer on the mom! Especially if your little guy likes it in there and decides to stay an extra week like both of our babies did!

It is so exciting! Congratulations and pamper mom! Back rubs and kisses are always welcome! My hubby painted my toenails for me (I certainly couldn't reach them!) so I could feel beautiful!

Make sure you have a cup of ice chips for mom during labor! It helps cool her down, gives her liquids and something to crunch during contractions! The only breathing help I needed was for my husband and doctor to tell me to breathe. I was enjoying the peace of not breathing! I remember thinking, "It feels so good not to breathe!" But the baby needed me to breathe for her, so as a mom, I had to start again and take care of the baby!!!! What we won't do for our children. I mean really. I even have to breathe for you?

Congratulations again! Wishing you both a quick and easy birth and a long lifetime of togetherness with your sweet little guy!

Your right, which is why i am glad women get pregnant and not us blokes lol. She really hates it, having to get up at all hours to relieve herself. Judging by the size of her, he probably wont be hanging around - 2nd of September is due date but he's already upside and dropped in position, and there are a few other signs he wont wait...although they like to play games and fool ya dont they? I will give follow your advice!! Anything to stop her hitting me Thanks for the congrats.

Oh come on purps, i bet its a piece of cake really No no i'm kidding, the midwife said that some of the women in labour actually refuse to give birth and sit with their legs closed refusing to let it out lol, as if that will stop anything!

    Congratulations!

5 weeks will be here before you know it (of course for the mama it just might feel a lot longer than 5 weeks...lol).
That's wonderful, I'm very happy for you both.
