I already have many of the Christmas lights up, and I enjoy it for just its appearance. I have crosses, "demons", "Satan" Clauses, Movarian "Satanic" Stars, bells, snowflakes, pine cones, and the works. All it is intended to do is to give this Jehovah a nice slap in the face.

This year the local kingdumb hall is going to celebrate christmas, we are going to put a "Merry Christmas" banner across the front gate, around 2 am the street is dead so that sounds about right! ha ha ha

I do some gift buying for the 2 people who are closest to be just for the fun of it. And if needed I help my boyfriend pick out gifts for his nephews and nieces (they don't exchange adult gifts).

It definitly has nothing to do with beliefs though. I don't claim to be christian or any other 'ian' or 'ist' or 'ic'. So christ birth or non-birth existance or non-existance holds no meaning for me. But of course that's just me ...

The only thing I like about christmas is the time off with pay that some companies give . Other than that I am thoroughly sick and tired of hearing the fairy tale of Santa Claus and christmas music everywhere you go , like there's something wrong with you for not liking it. Bah humbug

I actually started celebrating christmas long before I left. When I started working around 15 I would buy my best friend (since kindergarten) a gift and we'd exchange at school. When I left home I celebrated with my (same friend) and her family because that's where I lived until I got my own place.

Even when I got my own place it felt a little weird, like Jehoover was watching me. I'm not sure how long or when I just didn't care anymore. It's a fun holiday to share with people you love and that love you, just one day set a side from all the others.

It has no religous meaning for me.

Christmas is a big deal to me now.. Not for the religious part of it though.. for the decorations, the spirit of the festivities, the gifts, the parties.. I'm so happy at Christmas... i'm like a little kid in a candy store driving down the streets looking at the lights..

The years I've been out though, I was in a relationship with a Muslim.. so he didn't celebrate.. Ironic.. going from the JWs and no Chrismas to being with a Muslim..

I wouldn't date another one because of it.. Christmas is too important to me.

I actually brought a Christmas gift for my nephew today.. never too early to start picking up gifts!

As a Scot I love new year(s) but not xmas. Just a personal preferance. Though, I used to love the idea of all the xmas set up and songs, trees etc. After not doing it for a long time, I just keep it that way. Love the days off though.
