Got up at 5am, got the hubby up, we dressed and went to the surgery center (Oh yeah I didn't tell ya'll that hubby was to go in for vein surgery this morning), hubby had surgery and we were out of there by 10am. Went and got some crutches for hubby, van started making funny noises and the battery light came on. Went to Target to pick up some stuff for the kids, left there and car sounds worst. Tried to go to MickeyD's cuz the hubby was jonesing for a big mac but the the ABS light came on and then the radio died. Turned around and tried to get home, car died at the third stop sign down the street. About 6 cars went around us then a good samaritan stopped, let us use his cell phone to call a tow, and then he and another man (who happened to pass us and knew the first guy - they're neighbors) pushed the van across the intersection and under a tree. We thanked both of them and the first guy says he'll be coming back this way again and hopefully we won't be there haha meaning he hopes that the tow guy comes soon. A really nice guy, I'm so glad he came along. The tow guy comes about ten minutes later, hooks the van up and we're off to the dealership. Drop off the car, unfortunately the dealer has no loaner cars available and we have to be shuttled home. Got home about 1pm. My house is a wreck but the kids are OK and boy am I tired. Now we just have to figure out how to get the oldest boy to his scout meeting tonight.
