  bums? as in, lazy people? people that take advantage of others? or did you mean the part of the human anatamy on the backside just below the waist?

  No mercy. There are just too many opportunities to earn a living. They may not all be ideal, but the choice is theirs. It is just easier to beg for money.

  I don't believe in God really, but it means that I could easily find myself in that position.

  Most are afflicted by mental illness, drug addiction, or having suffered a sudden and tragic setback.

  But I still don't like it when they try to clean my windshield unsolicited.

  This one time I was driving through a Burger King to get some breakfast and a bum was sitting by the drive thru order sign looking pretty hungry. I asked him if he needed some food, he said yes, he was very hungry. I wanted to give him some money to buy some food, so I give him ten bucks. He get's up, says thanks, and heads next door to the liquor store. I don't give money to bums anymore.
