    Dear Nurturing and Caring Friends,

Apart from religion - if that is where you are at this time in your personal development - do you have younger companions whom you view as "spiritual children"? Some whom you watch after and advise [with prudence and caution, of course], whose successful life course is of intense concern to you?

    Please share your thoughts.

Well I'm not sure if this counts, but my kids were always very social, made friends easily still have most of their friends from early childhood in their lives. These same kids call me mom, my husband dad and help themselves to my food, electric, water, AC, heat, soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent........

I have more kids than I gave birth to and can't claim them on my taxes. But I love them and treat them the same as if I gave birth to them and wouldn't have it any other way .

Spiritual?? (I really had to work on spelling that word) I'm not sure I even know what that word means really. Not really sure that it means anything in my life

    Another JW screw-up I guess.

    Greetings, Ex:

Your reply makes perfect sense to me, so it counts! What you've said is pretty much what I had in mind. Kids you love and nurture, with or without the religion.

    Thank you much,

I'm glad it makes sense - I think it's important to our kids to have a relationship with their friends. I wasn't allowed to have friends or not the friends that I wanted. Had to be JW kids, hell they were worse than my non-jw friends.

    Thank you, once again, Ex.

Because of being "alien residents," living in "the last days," yadda yadda, we, as JWs and our kids, were not allowed anything normal. The entire world and its inhabitants were tainted in our pure eyes.
How I hated that entire scene!

    Dear RAF,

Thank you for your comments; I can appreciate what you mean about your son. The child who is "smarter" than his parents! My question brought forth some answers I hadn't anticipated.

    Gratefully,

No. I have children, 5 of them, and they have been taught (I hate that word) to be caring, respectful, kind, and helpfull.

Spritual? No...that refers to being religious, in my opinion, and the last thing any of our kids are, is religious.

We are athiests, and happy with that.
