I used to post there a lot, and would like to check out some of those old posts.

Anyone know where H2O is or where the archives can be found?

    Thanks!

Aahhh, those were the days, eh?

Here's where it is today: http://www.aimoo.com/forum/categories.cfm?id=311102&CategoryID=2967

I don't know where the archives are. Sorry.

I must say H2O was a tremendous help to Mrs Ozzie and I at the time. Good memories.

    Seeker,

I passed them on to a few like Vuega in France and for a while they were posted for download. They consist of two CD's.

They should still be stored in the rotary CD tower that holds my software. There is a block of posts missing as

I did not get them downloaded soon enough and they were deleted from the site. And junk or deleted posts were also taken out. But most of them were saved.

I too posted on the old H2O board back in 1998 up until it shut down, I believe my name was either DaveTenn or DaveTN.

Someone enlighten this padawan on the nature of this mysterious H2O...

Was it the first JW discussion board?

It probably was the first, but I was told that there were email discussion groups before that too.

I just got this info from the New H20. I was a member for a short time on this forum.

A unique aspect of this new discussion forum is it may soon contain archives from our original Hourglass2 Outpost's past postings. Our original H2O forums contained over a million HTML files, each file consisting of a posting using Matt's "wwwboard" Linux CGI forum scripts. Over a million H2O HTML postings clogged the search engines in the mid to late 1990's. A few brothers and sisters, including the creator of this new H2O forum, archived these posts on CD-ROM. The sheer weight of H2O's massive content forced our ISP to move H2O to its own separate network server in 1999, and after overloading that server our account was terminated. (We were informed the bandwidth was so great the ISP was unable to provide service at any price.) Aimoo.com came to the rescue and its forum software was more efficient in serving bandwidth and more sophisticated than Matt's plain vanilla CGI board scripts.
