Tyrone, loved your rant, well said. I've been down a similar road as you have. You're five years younger than me, so consider yourself lucky. I just woke up a year ago. I was baptized at age 12 and reproved about a dozen times by age 19, then I took off. Tried to go back several times. I really thought it was the true religion, just like most here. Now we can see it for what it is. Those people are captives to a bunch of Kabbalistic Freemason Pharisees. That's what it's all about, a trap of Satan. They're going to be severely humiliated, it's all in prophecy.
In the hope that it'll make you feel better, just as an example, the entire 13th chapter of Ezekiel is directed at the GB and their pompous, corporate trained elders. There's lots more of them but this one is my favorite. Here's a go at it from their own corrupted translation:

A flooding downpour will certainly occur, and YOU, O hailstones, will fall, and a blast of windstorms itself will cause a splitting. 12 And, look! the wall must fall. Will it not be said to YOU men, ‘Where is the coating with which YOU did the plastering?’
13 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, ‘I will also cause a blast of windstorms to burst forth in my rage, and in my anger there will occur a flooding downpour, and in rage there will be hailstones for an extermination. 14 And I will tear down the wall that YOU men have plastered with whitewash and bring it into contact with the earth, and its foundation must be exposed. And she will certainly fall, and YOU must come to an end in the midst of her; and YOU will have to know that I am Jehovah.’

There's an excellent pedigree to the GB ordering JWs to kill others: It's the blood-soaked Old Testament (sorry, I mean Hebrew Scriptures).
But enough of this picking on religious nutters. Experiments conducted by American social psychologists in the 1960s demonstrated that, from 60 to 70% of ordinary people could be induced into severely mis-treating other humans. You don't need to religious to harm other people...but it probably helps!

Yes I believe so! I also believe that any fanatical religion that has absolute power over their members has the ability to direct their followers to OBEY, because they DO believe the instructions are coming from God.
As well, as others have posted.. they do kill from not administering blood, (my youngest brother needed blood at 3 years old to live) he would have died if not for the medical association taking over.
Killing is also done by brainwashing techniques, those who never escape mentally and only physically from the organization often kill themselves from inner beliefs. This is murder in my mind. I agree though, that it is not only the JW religion that creates this.

If my mom read in the Watchtower that she should kill someone and they threw in a couple of scrips, she would do it. Of this I have no doubt There are not too many like my mom (thank goodness), but it only takes a few wackos to do a lot of harm (ex. 9/11).

I dont believe that all of the JW's would do so, infact if this happened many on the border or considering looking out of the Organization would have had their fears confirmed about what they are in. However, some after months of preparation (ie, heavy brainwashing from Society) would probably be easy to convince that THEY God's people must take justice into their hands, its new light...Jehovah is asking they create paradise and then the end will come.
