The press is aware of this information and the release. Not sure at this point what, if anything they will do about it.

It will be very hard for the WTS to take legal action on this, as all of the documents are public record and legally obtained. Barbara did get some documents that the court asked her not to publish, and she didn't.

It seems that, while some of these documents were sealed by the California court, they were also used in a case in Oregon where they were not sealed, and Barbara obtained them from there.

So, she's quite confident of her legal grounds for the CD.

Also, no one can know who purchases these. The purchaser's names and addresses are protected by law.

Interestingly, I'll bet the WTS will buy a copy!! Haha!

Does the Watchtower Society give credence to reports of court documents that claim to prove that pedophilia runs rampant in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses and at Bethel?

No, we do not. Throughout history, those who oppose the organization that Jehovah has used to proclaim the Kingdom message have used any means available to them to discredit his Name People. Today is no different, and with the advent of electronic and digital technologies, the process of duping others to believe lies and innuendo are rampant. Like the internet, some have published CD's, DVD's and Movies, that propagate falsehood. In this, Satan makes himself to be 'an angel of light', and many will fall to his snares. Even some well known elders, and former workers at the Bethel offices, have fallen to such evil tactics. Some have attempted to become prominent in the world of the apostates by creating such lurid 'spiritual pornography' as this. We urge all to avoid this snare of Satan. (1 Jaracz 9:3; Franz 5:18; Lett 4:6-8)

Still, reports have reached us of those who defy good sense and have begun to 'eat from the table of the demons'. They have begun to 'believe the lie', and have fallen under judgement. We do well to follow the scriptural exhortation to 'quit touching the unclean thing'. While none of this surprises God's people as we near the definate end of this system, still there is concern that some sheeplike ones might be stumbled by these erroneous reports. Therefore we suggest that elders pay more than the usual attention to those who seem to be leaning away from the 'food at proper time' as prepared by the Faithful and Discreet Slave, and who seem to be attracted to these 'false stories' that bring reproach on God's name. To associate with those who slander Jehovah and his people is a serious matter. Some have, unfortunately had to be disfellowshipped for such unwise actions. Likely others will have to be so disciplined in the future to keep the 'flock' clean from such ungodly 'leaven'.

The service committee has on file the number and name of the branch legal department, and should report without fail any press reports or significant activity in the congregation that begins to discredit the 'house of Jehovah'. Rest assured that the Governing Body has been made aware of these problems, and will do all it can to 'defend and legally establish' the Good News, in spite of opposers efforts.

Someone mentioned, how can Bethel monitors look at the evidence and not be influenced by it...maybe the GB hires others (not JWs) to monitor. It would make sense to use outside people so they don't have to worry about defectors...and the outsiders don't have the connections and probably wouldn't care as long as they got paid...just a thought.
