thunderstorms
I've always liked them !!! when I'm confortably home I really do appreciate it
As a kid a fell confortable with armagedon (it was just the end of something) I didn't fell concerned about being bad - since I could see so much bad people (most hypocrites) around me in JWland. I've always thought that any one good would (not only the JW) would get God's favor.
It's a bit later (I was not even a JW anymore) that I fell concerned about some moral concerne (but it wasn't just meeting my own standards) and I fell like I wouldn't be able to fake anyway ... Armagedon or any time or way to die was just something expected anyway.

I too was terrified of thunderstorms, and believed it was the end.. and because I never felt perfect enough.. well.. I believed it was my end too. The fear of demons lurking around every corner, in the closet, under the bed was also a huge fear.

I was afraid of torture. Even now, I can't watch torture in movies.
