An interesting thought Tina. Since they are basically partaking of an "illegal" activity, i.e. maintaining a Dub webpage, they don't bat an eyelid about going into further illegality and exercising authority over the "congregation", even men. Even to the point of having miniature JCs.

What's a Dub?

My story... Raised JW. Reg Pio for a year at 17. Got sick of attempting perfection and having to keep all my "I wonder..." to myself.
Stopped going to meetings 2 years ago. About a year ago my sister told me her conscience was bothering her because she felt she should tell the elders about my boyfriend. (Don't berate her, she really believes) So I told her that I didn't want her to go through all that and that I would call the elders. Basically said, hey, I'm living with my boyfriend, (wasn't at the time but seemed a good way to get it over with quickly) don't intend to stop. No, dont want to meet with you, do what you've gotta do.

I'm sure they were all super shocked. Not 6mo before I left they had been pestering me about taking the Reg Pio Plunge again.

I'm now married, usually happily, but it's still hard. My immediate family loves me and we are almost as close as we used to be. Cousins, aunts etc wont speak to me.

I really wish I had NOT gotten myself DFed. Shoulda just faded away. Then I wouldn't be the girl without a past. I have no contact outside my family with anyone who used to know me more than 2 years ago.

Do any of you have dreams? 3-5 times a week I have a dream about being DFed. I go to a Circuit assembly and then get discovered. Or I meet up with people I used to know and have to tell them Im happy as is. I wonder is it God talking to me or was I just completely brainwashed...

As for embarrassing us, I meant in light of the way we apostates and opposers are hopping over to loyal Dub sites to embarrass them and cause trouble, you might have been one of them over here to cause trouble by pretending to be one of us!

was dull and boring, my real name and my job...hehe

As to all this Un stuff, I am not one who likes to wait around. So I
called the brothers in Brooklyn and spoke to a very nice brother who
tried to explain it to me. He said that the brothers are working on an
investigation now to find out how all this happened. They do not know all
of the details yet. I asked him if there was a brother in charge of the
Un asssociation, for correspondence and such. He said yes, but would
not give me anymore details. He encouraged me, and also anyone who wants
an answer from them to write to them, and they will personally write
back when the investigation is complete.

I then called the UN and asked them why the WTBTS was listed on their
site, and I was told that the WTBTS disassociated themselves on Oct 9,
2001. SO they are not really part of them anymore.

That was enough of an answer for me. They aren't associated with them
anymore, case closed.

I still sent off my letter to the brothers though. Just to let them
know my interst in this case, and because they asked me too.

I agree with you completely. I was out in service not too long ago (can
I admit I don't enjoy service much at all, but I know I have to do it
if I'm going to hope to survivie Armageddon) and I happened to knock at
the door of a guy who was apostate, or evil slave or something. I
didn't know that at first, and when he invited me in, I thought, "Sweet! i
get to sit down for a few minutes , and maybe place some literature!"
But NO - he started showing me photocopies of old Watchtowers and stuff.
Once I figured out what he was into, I just stuck my fingers in my ears
and started saying, "LA LA LA LA" real loud. Then I remembered to call
on Our God, and I said "Jehovah!" seven times, grabbed my stuff and ran
out. I know Jehovah protected me from the ideas of the evil one, who is
Satan.

I've been looking into ways to increase my ignorance - ignorance IS
bliss, right? - an I've discovered that careful use of asphyxiation can
kill off just enuff brain cells to assure that deep rational analysis is
all but impossible - I get blinding headaches now when I do the books
for my business.

As a bonus, I've found that asphyxiation also helps relive tension,
especially when combined with self-abuse. Anyone else here into this? I've
helped a bunch of sisters discover this method of keeping both their
chastity and their sanity, and they've thanked me. Soemtimes their
parents where annoyed that I taught them so carefullyy and so well, but I
always make sure my students and I are alone together - NEVER a third
person around - you can't please everyone, right?
