    Margarita
    • 1-1/2 oz 100% blue agave tequila
    • 1 oz orange-flavored brandy, such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau
    • 1 oz fresh lime juice

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker two-thirds full of ice. Shake until well chilled. Pour the mixture into a salt-rimmed (optional) margarita or martini glass.

Yup.....this, is by far, my most favorite mixed drink. I LOVE Tequila. Sometimes I like to switch it up a bit, and drink Long Island Ice tea, but Tequila does it for me.

I like drinking Martinis providing they are mixed properly and served in a Martini glass - height of glamour.

At the moment, it is definately Pimms o'clock!

I love mojito's, but I pretty much stick to wine now. That reminds me I havn't had a glass of wine since around the 21st of July, the acid reflux has been sooo bad! I'm missing my glass of wine in the evening and cant' wait unitl this stomach thing is fixed!

On second thought, the Mind Eraser does sound good, bigd.

For some reason when I think of Kahlua, I think of milk.

If it's just Kahlua, Vodka, and lemon-lime soda, it might taste like the coffee soda you can get in NYC.

    But with a nice kick!

My favourite is bloody Mary not basic one but the more intricate one that beyond vodka, tomato juice and Worcestershire sauce also contains Tabasco, celery salt and horseradish. Salami as garnish.

I also like liqueurs mixed with cream eg Baileys, Cream Grand Marnier.

Whiskey and coke - meaning Jack Daniels old no. 7 with Coca-cola from a can. NOT Beam and Pepsi!!! God I hate when bartenders screw up such a basic drink!!! Gentleman Jack is also acceptable, and on occasion I also enjoy Crown Royal, though its a bit sweet. The 1954 recipe Jack in the fancy bottle is EXCELLENT!!!!

Bourbons - ah yes, my passion. A little ice in a glass and 3 fingers of Makers Mark or Woodford's Reserve

Another one that ain't bad if you're on a budget is Evan Williams, and actually Ten High and Squirt is pretty damn good. I'd like to try old Grandad and George Dickel's to see what the fuss is all about with those.

Makers is my favorite these days, but I cook with a lot of Jack. The new homegrown "Templeton Rye" whiskey is excellent, but its unobtainable right now, its been sold out for almost a year.

Oh yeah, and Margaritas are killer with Mexican food.

The best margarita recipe of all time, IMHO, came from one of the most arrogant, self-righteous, Org Chart climbing elders I've ever known. If I posted it here, anyone he's shared it with would recognize it.

Anyway, I like a good Margarita when the weather's hot.

    Or when it's not.
