One thing I noticed, when I used to go to those wastefests, was that the answers were almost never very loud. There might be 40 or 50 candidates, and I might be directly in front of them. At those distances, that many loud voices would be easy to make out from where I was sitting. I have heard similar situations in school, where a whole classroom of people in talking mode would often get loud enough to disrupt classes in adjacent rooms. But when I can hardly hear the answers, despite that the auditorium was still quiet, I think it is pathetic. Hardly anything where the people are definitely dedicated.

I had the same thoughts as monophonic. Is my baptism nullified automatically because I did not take the current vows? Did all of the people who were baptized before the change need to be rebaptized to update their vows? Or do the pre-change JW's not have to adhere to the same rules of loyalty as those baptized after the change?

    Regards,

There have been threads on this and the concensus is no, there is no difference in the standing of those before the change and those after. They have you and you can't fight it. Its all about the club and once you're in, you're in. I was under the old questions too. Now I'm not under anything. The hell with them. W.Once
