Anyone ever did service in very hot weather?

Just in case you haven't noticed, it is very hot and muggy in the south. And it has been that way for some time. Those up north haven't noticed it because it starts about in the middle of Pennsylvania south. And the West is normal dry heat that is typical of summer.

And yet, the Witlesses still have to go out in service. They often go out and take off the suit coat, only to have the hounder-hounder come and tell them that they can no longer do that. They are supposed to go out in 110 degree heat dressed in that suit coat. And the top collar button has to stay done. No excuse for loosening up that button when it gets very hot or muggy.

So you plan on many breaks. However, the hounder-hounder has other ideas. You are going out in service from 5:30 in the morning until late in the evening, or until the boasting session (and those Kingdumb Hells are notorious for having the most unreliable air conditioning systems on the planet). They want people to get out and walk from door to door, and then as soon as they finish a block or street, they race to the next one. And then repeat the process (from the looks of some of the posts on these forums, it rarely if ever works like that as people walk slowly and drive slowly).

All the while, they see worldly people (and those whose parents are not as strict, despite admonition from the Grand Boasting Session a couple of weeks ago) in the swimming pool. They are in tank tops, or bathing suits, often relaxing with a glass of lemonade or iced tea. Some are cooking out, since it's too hot to fire up the stove indoors. They have every sort of imaginable way to beat the heat. Many are inside where the air conditioner is turned on full blast. And yet the Witlesses have to go out in the field misery all the while, exerting themselves vigorously in the miserable heat while everyone else is enjoying some fun.

Is this what "Come and take life's water free" means? They are supposed to go out in very hot weather. From what the Tower presents it, this is supposed to be a refreshing work. It is supposed to be comfortable. And then they make the men dress up in those suit coats, with the collar button done up. Sisters still have to have those panty hose, which might be OK later when it gets a little chilly (along with pants under the skirts when it gets cold). All the while, Ted Jaracz is in air conditioning writing up new rules that keep people from beating the heat. If anything will allow the Witlesses a chance to cool off, this humanoid will ban it. Even the military has strict rules about what exercises are permitted when it gets too hot!

Hopefully, it is going to be extremely hot where Ted Jaracz is going. His buddy and fellow humanoid Albert Schroeder is already there. And there will be no relief whatsoever--hopefully, with all they did to ruin life for so many people, the heat will be the last thing they have to worry about. I am hoping that they have no hope whatsoever for any happiness of any kind once they die--Schroeder ought to be enjoying the torture by now (and Jaracz will have his fun). Even if one doesn't believe in literal hellfire, there is going to be plenty of ostracism in store for Ted Jaracz and his buddy Albert Schroeder.

Yes, I have done service in extremely hot weather. People here are very hospitable and will invite you in for lemonade, iced tea, or cold water. Sometimes you can catch someone sitting outside underneath a luxuriant shade tree and that person will gladly pass the time with you.

NOBODY wears suits or pantyhose in this weather. My daughter usually signs up to auxiliary pioneer for the entire summer. This summer she signed up for the month of June only. Her mother didn't raise any fool!

I did service in Florida's miserable humid summers.

I remember being told that I had to wear pantyhose. Ughhhhh!

I know pioneers that would start their time early visiting laundromats, letter writing, etc., from 7 am to 9 am, meet then go on rvs and bible studies in AC surroundings. until 3 pm, working inside apartments from door to door. This was in Florida where they have it down to a science. It seemed that up north they had a hard time understanding that going out in very cold or very hot weather makes a person appear to be demented.

I used to throw up in service as a child on very hot days. Never stopped my parents and they never brought water or anything along.

Amazing fanaticism the FDS really got them going with his propaganda the end is so near there is no time to waste even when it's uncomfortably hot. Fortunately in the UK weather that hot is rare.

Armpit stains are a sign of righteousness.

Edit: Yes, I was so much better than some of the "fair weather" christians. *gag*
