Ippy stop moaning and turn your amp up to 11.....woo hoo
you've possibly had a ground wire from one of the pickups come loose. or youre using a speaker lead for a guitar cable, and not realizing it. im guessing dead/dying battery or ground lift. if i had it in my hands i could diagnose it in about 1 minute.
i hate emgs, pain in the ass. im constantly fixing this kind of crap for people
And the winner is!!!
Broken solder connection a batt lead. Fixed and making beautiful melody on my 'crappy' Crate.
lol
Thank you I was worried maybe I had lost the main vol pot on the guitar lol
it is all good now.
Thank you again
Awesome, glad it was something simple and you're back to making music.
What kind of music do you play? I play classic rock and blues . .
Oh and BTW . . . I have had a couple of AWESOME Crate amps in the past . . . don't take the "Crappy" comment too seriously . . .
I play jams with a POS Sears Silvertone tube amp from about 1970 or so . . . don't tell me about crappy . . but it nails tha "Suzy Q" tone . .
Locutus,
Classical, hard rock, alt rock, blues, oldies
used to play country, still can without throwing up if I have to.
This was my first Crate. I got no gripes about it.
I also have had no gripes about my ESP LTD 7 stringer. The wide neck 27 neck feels best to me out of all my guitars. Someday if i feel ambitious I'll change out the EMGs but they sound fine here in the house LOL
