Did you ever feel that you had Jehovah's Smile Of Approval?

I heard this phrase a lot over my JW tenure, If we do this or that, we would have "Jehovah's smile of approval." Did you ever experience this, say for pioneering?

No, purely the 'feel good' factor of feeling good and alittle smug with myself when i did something 'good'. (ok i only pioneered one month but i felt like i had a little halo on my head that month lol!)

I do remember when i got baptised i had to go on stage and talk about my experiences in front of 700, and i was so quiet and shy i felt like i was going to die of fright, as soon as i got on stage i just went totally calm, my friend too - she said that was Jehovah helping us for doing the right thing, obviously i don't think it was now!

I did when I beleived it and it was briefly wonderful. Much more prevalent however was guilt.

It's a phrase they started using in the 1970s, and they used it a lot back then:
