My Kentucky road trip yesterday

    Sunspot--Wow just think, we could have met back then if you had went to Paintsville, but alas you didnt. Thanks for clearing that up though.


    Mum--Yes I think I remember that church. As for Yellow Creek, yes it is yellow, mostly orange, however that is due to acid mine runoff. I dont remember seeing a tannery.

    The actual highway that I traveled into Kentucky was Hwy 90 (Tennessee) and Hwy 74 (Kentucky). Hwy 74 crosses log mountain before you get into Middlesboro, and you come out at the west side of town. Does Cabin Hollow ring a bell? That was the name of the coal company there on Hwy 74, along with a few others. This place was way back in the mountains. That road was so dusty that you couldnt even tell it was paved.

    Well anyway Im on my way to bed in a few, Im tired.
