I read the thread a few days ago about CO, & DO Charles Sinutko and his famous 1967 talk that ended with "stay alive 'till 1975". It brought back a flood of memories. I listened to his talks - Randy has plenty of them on his website, too- http://www.freeminds.org/wav/wav.htm
It only took about 10 minutes to find his address and telephone number and I determined that I would call him up. It took 3 days, but he answered his phone today. I called him to task for his phoney promises he made in his speeches. "you made false promises to millions of brothers in those talks" Well , he was cool as a cucumber and 'ol Moshe could not get him to break his " I'm not sorry for those speeches"- "I never promised it would positively happen", crap. We talked about the blood rules for a minute and he realized at that point he wanted off the telephone- "don't call me back again", he told me as he hung up. I believe he might have never had anyone call him to task for those speeches he made in 1967 that influenced so many JW's to stay away from college and quit good jobs to prepare for Armageddon in 1975. Just before he got off I told him he needed to repent for all those false promises he made and the damage he caused.
