Hopefully it will work. I can put up with planned outages while things are being reset, especially when this is necessary as technology advances. And, it is better to have one week where frequent outages are expected and the forum is being improved than to have continuous weekly outages and outdated software.
I know how quickly this kind of software goes out of date. In fact, I remember when Windows 95 was the state of the art. Anyone still running Windows 95 is way out of date now--even Windows ME is out of date, and XP could soon go out of date. And if it can happen with Windows XP, it can happen with forums like this. But, what I hope for is that these frequent updates can be made without disrupting the forum in the future. Hopefully, once the work is done, the outages will be far less frequent.
