Classic movie, one of my all-time favorites.
My dad actually referred to scriptures (the ones about the elements being intensely hot will melt) and I figured that would be what Armaggeddon would be like.
Sheesh.

I was about 20-22 when it came out. Loved every minute of it.

I remember during the scene when Indy was confronted by the knife-twirler, then shot him, how everyone in the theatre cheered and clapped. Apparantly, there was some anti-middle-eastern sentiment in the audience.

Hmm I wonder if we went to the same theatre. I seem to remember a lot of cheering and possibly some clapping.
We went to see it one night after the summer assembly.....one of the elders actually recommended it. Yep, everyone at the Hall was talking about how the scene at the end reminded them of how 'The End' was going to be, with everyone's face melting.
Oh, yes, there it is. Thanks, Mary.
