Those are really beautiful pictures BB. You did a great job.

Great pics! Old growth forests have an incredible smell of ozone and the trees. It is energizing and I wish I could bottle it up. Last week I was in an old growth forest and will be going to another to hike to some hot springs on Fri.

Three of my eight acres is old growth douglas fir and the trees are huge. I have used a few of the limbs that have fallen off in some woodworking projects. They have very tight rings which makes for great strength and grain fiquring.

Congrats on some beautiful shots!

The depth in some of them is truly wonderful. Did you use a particular kind of camera? Settings? Don't tell me it was 'point & shoot' ??????

Thanks BB for the pics! Absolutely gorgeous. I can "smell" the air and "hear" the sounds of nature. I love spending time in the woods!

BrentR - you are lucky to be so close to the old growth forests! That hike to the hot spings sounds fabulous!!

Ozzie - I used a digital camera - Kodak C875 - pretty much the first time I used it. I finally gave in and got one, I love my old SLR!! I was amazed at how good they turned out with it.

BB, great pictures. It's taking me a while to see them with my slow connection, but definitely worth the wait. I just recently started using a digital camera too. I still prefer my SLR, but maybe I just need to save up and buy a better digital. The pictures I took on our last boat ride were alright, but not as good as what I would have got with my old camera. Yours look good though.
