I asked my JW friend3 weeks ago this--- If All people came from Adam and Eve, and there is no such thing as evolution, then where did African ppl come form (or the Chinese or whatever). He never could answer.

The other question is : if no one has met Jehovah, how do we know His name-don't give me it's in the book answer, because God didn't write the scriptures, right? Also God is referred to as He. Isn't that assuming someone male, and human like? I am confused. Any ideas that actually make sense? No psyco babble please!

NONE of your questions have provable, verifiable, non-JW (i.e., fantasy) answers.

If All people came from Adam and Eve, and there is no such thing as evolution, then where did African ppl come form (or the Chinese or whatever).

There is no good answer. My reasonable scientific guess would be that the genetic markers for all the different types of races were in Adam and Eve in the beginning and came out at different times and places. That is, of couse, if you believe in the fairy tale of Adam and Eve. (I don't). I go with the genetic marker answer. How those markers got there? Who knows?

if no one has met Jehovah, how do we know His name

The short answer is: we don't. The long answer is we do not. The name Jehovah is a made up name in a made up book (Bible). It could just as easily be some name that is completely incomprehensible to humans.

Also God is referred to as He. Isn't that assuming someone male, and human like

Answer....presuming god really exists...we don't know if it is a he. That pronoun was used throughout the Bible (a non-fiction book if I ever read one) by all male writers that lived in a very male dominated society. Of course they attributed the male pronoun (or at least the male domineering attributes) to God. I would presume that if God exists (and I prefer to think that there is a creator, just not one that is so insecure that it wishes to be worshipped by its puny creation), it is of no sex at all, sex being a strictly earthly attribute.

That was fun mental gymnastics. Hope you are not confused.

Everybody could have come from Adam and eve. Take an Anatomy and physiology class that will teach you about genetics..

Or raise some dogs or other animals. I bred a black cocker spaniel and a brown and out of the litter of 8 I got a blonde and several blacks and browns and multicolerds.

Or let me put it this way even the evolutionist conceede that all dogs came from wolfs. You should be able to see the wide variety of dogs and colors and see that all people could come from 2 people. Its not rocket science basic animal husbandry that man has been aware of for hundreds of years.

As far as Gods name people call him all kinds of things. Whatever works for you.

The africans have dark skin because the light skined people could not survive in the equator. The pigment melanin in their skin enables the absorbtion of vitamin D both in the equator and less melanin enables the absorption in the northern latitudes. Google melanin to help you better understand.

Accord to the dubs? African ppl from Ham.

Chinese? Umm Im trying to remember. Prolly Jepheth.

Actually evolution makes perfect sense of the so called race problem. There are no races. We are all homo sapien sapien.

Isn't that assuming someone male, and human like?

Most ancient gods werre male and human like.

Well man, (or woman, don't mean to presume) many here are ex-witnesses and although I haven't been into that trip for a while now I could tell you a couple of things that come to mind. The different races might be explained in terms of adaptation rather than evolution I think I mean we're still all human.

As for God being a guy, I mean it's just rather convenient but about as relevant as the fact that both the words start with G isn't it? Obviously the question is like which came first, the chicken or the egg - in other words is this a God that created us in "his" image or is it one we created in ours? An intersting point is the sexes are rather opposites, which is relative. But God is supposed to be absolute, and this kind of polar characteristic wouldn't make a lot of sense there. Metrosexual maybe, too sexy for the humans but...

You make fun of the Adam and Eve story.

But isn't that what basically evolutionists tell us.

Watching one of those documentaries the scientist says "Well if we can trace our DNA etc, back we would find that we all descended from the same female.

That we all came from a common ancestor that came out of the African plains about 4-5 million years ago.

So how did evolution come up with all the different races?

You make fun of the Adam and Eve story.

Yes the story. Not the science behind mitochondrial dna.

How did the races come about? You have within you the genes for a black man, a chinese woman, a english little boy.

What you look like depends only on the genetic switches that are turned on and off.

    We are all the same.
