I miss the feeling of thinking I was going to live forever in paradise.

I miss the world being young and innocent.

Gas for 32Cents a gallon in the 60's.

    A new volkswagon for 1650$ in 67.

    I miss the Beatles

I miss working in Cleveland Ohio in the 70's for a company that had a union, and being treated decently because of the power of a union.

I miss playing football and baseball,

Great memories from everyone except nvr, perhaps growing up in a JW environment didn't leave much to be worth recalling.

Hybiscus it's amazing how the culture of western society changed so much in a few decades.

My contact with my old friend reminded me of his old conflicts how he wanted to become a monk but wouldn't because he liked women too much, just as his elder brother had told him. He finally settled down as a stable family man with two children and is a regular church goer. Gone are the pre marriage days when he visited prostitutes regularly.

    Sorry, greendawn.

    Yes I have fond memories.

But right now is the best thing we have.

    That's all.

    Carry on down Memory Lane.

8 day District Conventions at Yankee Stadium...or Roosevelt Stadium. Polo Grounds just before my time.

Going fly fishing with my Dad and Grampa.

    Watching old family movies.

    Playing on my cousins farm.

Coke in 16 oz glass bottles.

Going along with nvr's thought. Being able to live in the moment, without worry of past or future!

Amen to the Coke in glass bottles. Also, Coke made with REAL cane sugar, not this corn syrup crap.

Nvr I am sure there must have been some decent JWs around and some agreeable memories associated with them even if the overall environment was negative.

El Kabong it shows how the big corporations are trying to make more profits in this case by using corn syrup which lowers the quality of coke and is worse for one's health.
