i agree with orbison. the teasing i endured as a kid is what made me who i am today. it's the sheltered kids that never get their feelings hurt are the ones that don't adjust well. they are the ones that snap when the smallest thing happens.
Here's hoping that your fade is going better than this poor guy's...

Humiliation is a subjective state of mind.
Excuse me.
Tell that to a 6 year old, dumbfuck.

Sometimes having your hair chopped off so young can leave a permanent mark.

I don't think any 6 year olds would be reading it.

and sometimes having your hair chopped off can bring you a lot of 'cute' attention
i just had a 4 yr old client on saturday,,,,,twice she cut her bangs herself,,,,,and she smiled as we talked about it

Again, I'm really sorry.
I meant no harm.

Let's not jump to conclusions people. Yes that picture looks like someone shaved the kid's head and he's humiliated, but like someone already said, maybe the kid did it to himself. My parents have a picture of me when I was about 4 or 5 years old that is right up this alley. I had long blonde hair and loved the smell of Dove hand soap. So one day, I decided to wash my hair in the bathroom sink and I wet it all down, tried rubbing the soap in it and couldn't get the damn stuff out. So I hid inbetween the sink and the toilet until my mom found me crying. She went and got the camera and took a picture of me and started laughing and laughing.
If you looked at the picture without knowing the background, someone could easily jump to the conclusion that some mean adult had done this to me, when actually I did it to myself.
And no, I'm not posting the picture here either.

You're not responsible for other people's reaction to the post, Nvrgnbk. If we're going to blame each other for everything that could be a sensitive sore spot because some other influence like JW parents or something, then we're blaming the wrong person.

Sorry! Reading the post earlier I understood, obviously wrongly, that the poster is a relative of this child and this is what his mother did to him for a misdemeanour.
Teasing is normal in childhood.
Humiliation, however is an abuse of anyone and does no good.
Teasing is what we learn from.
Humiliation kills the soul. Ask any rape victim.
My apologies again.
