They just dropped the price $200 on the iPhone.

Then Apple also released iPod touch yesterday. Which is iPhone without the phone.

It's not like this wasn't expected, no doubt they'll be giving them away with a plan in a matter of time. Just like buying a new computer they'll just have something newer and better for less 6 months later.

I've had plenty of exposure to that much anticipated Iphone. After the "wow" factor wears off, you soon realize that it is a piece of junk. I now feel fully justified in laughing at all those idiots who spent half the day waiting for one.

I think for it to really gain a foothold in the mobile phone market, they need to open the device to 3rd party developers.

I was interested in getting a new ipod, but was disappointed that the new ipod touch models come with such small hard drives. So I am thoroughly disappointed.

And yes, whoever bought an iphone not thinking they wouldn't drop the price before Christmas was crazy!

I didn't stand in line for mine, I waited until they were in stock. I knew the price would drop but the money wasn't an issue for me personally. I'm glad I did as I've had if for awhile now and I don't regret my purchse. Same thing as when I bought my computer, just a few months later they had a bigger, nicer one for less. That's life and everyone makes their own decisions on what they want to spend their money on.

That is strange, especially for the price of them considering their sole purpose is for music. I did like the new ipod mini's that come in colors- won't get one but they're cute.

The thing that get me is they are still selling well. Now that they are hacked any one can use them any where. So why the price drop all of a sudden?

I heard something happened and Apple stock went down, my frined who works with the stock market told me but I'll have to ask him again what it was...

* OK apparently the price cut of the iphone was followed by a dip in their stocks. I don't know, the stock market is all Greek to me.
