Unfortunately, God does choose to hide from the wicked old world for the most part, and sometimes I think that some have been granted a higher degree of perception or thinking reason so that nature seems to confirm for them absolutely there is a God and what he's like.

But one thing that those who understand Bible prophecy have now is the fulfillment of so many specific chronology prophecies. Some look down on chronology or unfortunately are influenced by BTG and lots of wrong chronology, but if you get past that then a huge source of not only belief in God but also the truth of the Bible comes from fulfilled prophecy. Like three different prophecies that all line up to the same year of the second coming.

The second coming is accompanied by the "sign of the son of man" appearing, which we have actual photograph of, and also some of us, like myself, have seen some supernatural things, such as the action and manipulation of events by holy spirit, identity of some materialized angels, who some of them have materialized and are pretending to be humans (why not?) and/or have seen Christ himself, or in my case Jehovah himself and Satan in some visions. Some will discount this as mental illness and it may be (except how do you explain the photos of the sign of the son of man?), but even so, for those persons of have been convinced of these things and that they are real, we can't address like others the doubts that there is no god based upon the lack of direct evidence by direct intervention in our personal lives, because we have that. It's an additional reference to our faith on a higher level.

So like me, my personal experience of talking to Jehovah personally seems real to me, even if it wasn't, so I have absolutely no doubt there is a god and thus all the anti-god propaganda and sneering and laughing of the pseudo-intellectuals means nothing. Instead, I'm the one that is laughing at them and shaking my head because they have been left out of the loop.

God's process is to show himself in direct ways, first to his own servants. Then in a global way to the world, as he will do at Armageddon, without much detail. It's not that the world would not have been warned or won't know Armageddon when they see it, but beyond that, this will be a time of "darkness" and "thick gloom" just as in Noah's day when the ice water canopy was being melted and the thick rain clouds formed there was darkness over the world for seven days. I guess God isn't that concerned about proving that much to the wicked after all.

But I suppose the main point I wanted to make is that it is very nice to be in a position to know for sure if there is a God or not, based upon personal experience. That has to be something special. And since it is truly real, no one can contradict it. They can just refuse to believe until Armageddon or until an angel appears to them personally, but that's about it. It's just those on the outside and those on the inside of that question.

I don't know what they trying to prove by posting so many arguments for God's existence but as far as I am concerned the nature of our body and spirit as well as everything around us reveals the existence of a creator that is immeasurably more intelligent than any human. Much easier to believe than in mere coincidence producing all the life forms on earth and the whole universe.

Who on earth believes that?! Another 'straw man' argument greendawn.

    greendawn:

as far as I am concerned the nature of our body and spirit as well as everything around us reveals the existence of a creator that is immeasurably more intelligent than any human.

    405. ARGUMENT FROM COMPLEXITY
    (1) That which is complex has a creator.
    (2) The universe is complex.
    (3) Only God is complex enough to create the universe.
    (4) Therefore, God exists.

    494. ARGUMENT FROM COMPLEXITY (II), a.k.a. DESIGN/TELEOLOGICAL ARGUMENT (XI)
    (1) The human body is too complex to have happened by chance.
    (2) So it must have been designed.
    (3) [Atheist: Well, wouldn't God be even more complex? So does he have a designer?]
    (4) See previous argument.
    (5) Therefore, God exists.

Much easier to believe than in mere coincidence producing all the life forms on earth and the whole universe.

    92. ARGUMENT FROM FORTUITOUS COINCIDENCE
    (1) What are the odds of that happening?
    (2) Pretty long, I’ll bet.
    (3) Therefore, God exists.

    DORE'S ARGUMENT
    (1) I forgot to take my meds.
    (2) Therefore, I AM CHRIST!!
    (3) Therefore, God exists.

Few real things, actually existing things require PROOF.

Even goodness and intelligence (conceptual) are evident.

Oddball mental constructs require argumentation and "reasons":

    UFO's

    Bigfoot

    Alien abduction

    Past lives

    Loch Ness Monster

    Conspiracty theories

So, where does that leave us?

The very nature of FAITH is that it requires no evidence. So, what exactly is it that FAITH lacks which obsessively drives the believer to make lists of reasons "why" God exists?

If it is so "obvious" then, surely it is OBVIOUS.

But, if it is wishful thinking, fantasy, hope, myth, hearsay, indoctrination or pious fraud---then and only then would you need a list of "reasons' why God exists.

Just think about it!! The SUPREME living being in the entire universe and you have to think up a list of reasons which might indicate he exists!!

    Mind bogglingly dumb.

GREENDAWN, for the love of whoever you want to believe in, WILL YOU PLEASE RESEARCH EVOLUTION! This is the third time you've made that mistake, saying scientists teach all life today came from random coincidence. Scientists do NOT teach this, stop claiming they do. This time I'm going to send you a PM, just to make sure you know you're completely wrong and that you need to stop spreading lies to people who may not know much about evolution.

As for this planet having just the right properties for life to be given a chance, if the odds of life appearing on a planet were one in a billion, there would STILL be a billion planets supporting life!

If you still think it's an amazing coincidence, do you know what's even more of a coincidence? That you would be born and come to this site and write something I could see.

ARGUMENT FROM LACK OF AN ARGUMENT (III)
    (1) No, I WASN'T arguing!
    (2) WAS NOT!
    (3) What do you mean, I'm arguing now?
    (4) WHAT!?!?!?
    (5) [see previous argument for further details]
    (6) Therefore, God exists.
