There is a casino about 5 minutes walk from where we live,
but we have no problem with its' existence. Neither of us have
ever visited it, but I hear it is open most of the night. If so, we
don't notice it, there are never any reports of trouble there.
The main problems around here are caused by young or
even underage drinking, whch has worsened since the UK
licensing laws made it legal for pubs and off licenses to
sell booze 24 hours a day if they wish. If 10 casino's opened
around here, I doubt it would bother us.
We have casinos all over the place in our area. They is one on almost every block in the business area. No problems except from those who think they corrupt the world.
We also have Tribal Casinos in every county, and some counties have several. The nearest one to us is about 20 miles away. We go there often. They are great fun and I would fight to keep them there. I love to gamble.
I love to go to casinos and I don't believe that having a casino will contribute more to drug use or illegal activities.
Nope! I have a set limit when I gamble. Right now I'm playing with the house money and I keep it to a minimum.
I met my present girl-friend at the casino and every time we go to the casino we sit where we met, next to the bar.
The casino in Montreal is worth the visit, even if your a small time gambler.
Golf
I didn't care for the Montreal casino too much but I do like Vegas!
Going to navada aggrivated me having to see casinos everywhere. I have to admit that I enjoy a little gambling from time to time. I won 100 bucks in reno! .. We have some tribal ones and ones on the rivers and down on the coast. That is plenty enough for a trip from time to time. I would rather not see them EVERYWHERE like in reno though. I like having some variety in scenery.
I would vote it down! No, I would be okay unless it was 8 feet away from my house.
I live in Nevada, so I'd have to leave the state if I were bothered by the presence of casinos. They're not as much fun as they used to be, especially the showrooms.
renee: You did leave the paradise of Lake Tahoe and make it to Reno, but I was in Vegas! When are you coming back?
No. Recently I have been playing Texas Hold Em', tournament and cash games at get togethers. I'd like to play more and if a Casino openened up in my area I would play there too. Some get upset because of the traffic problems and or other undersireables that could follow, I don't blame them for that, that could impose on their neighborhood. However those old time problems have pretty much been cleaned up. It's not like the old days anymore. Casinoes have shown themselves to be more aware of the bad element and responsibile to the surrounding areas.
