But I must ask, what motivates and maintains this media-wide conspiracy against America?
In my opinion 2 things. First, I think there is a liberal bias in colleges and since all jurnalist attend college at a time in their life when they are forming their oppinions, they learn this liberal bias. When I only listened to the society, and read their literature I believed it, when you are only exposed to one side of an issue you tend to believe it.
Secondly the media is a business. When their is a "story" its better business then when there's a slow news day. So they try to get a story going by showing the faults.
Don't most journalists enter that field because by their nature they want the truth to be told?
I don't know why most journalist get into the field, maybe they just want to travel the world, or maybe they want to be on TV. Maybe they had honest intentions in the begining but were corrupted by the system.
I think most people that go into the priesthood have good intentions at first too but that doesn't mean that that doesn't change somewhere down the line.
Besides, this story isn't about the US military per se.
It's about a contractor that has spun out of control.
Yes but it is meant, imo, to throw dirt on the entire war and say its just another reason for us to get out.
To add another point, I feel that more than half the US population feels they were lied to from the very beginning of this invasion/occupation.
I don't disagree with this, I too feel that more than half the US population feels they were lied to from the very beginning of this invasion/occupation.
But this just proves my point. The congress had the same intelegence as the president, it was wrong, our reason for going in (WMD's) happened to be wrong, but that doesn't mean the president lied to us, that is the spin that those who now want us out have put on it. Many Dems. in the congress say they were lied to but they were out their pushing the war at the start. Now that its turned into a quagmire they are trying to distance themselves from that decision.
I agree that we maybe should have never gone into Iraq but to leave now would just lead to mass genocide. How can we as a country say that we have to do something about Dufar and at the same time say that we have to let the same thing go on in Iraq?
