When I left home at 18, I left all of it a sum total of 1 song bood and 1 bible (I was never a good little dub) at my parent's house. Didn't take 1 piece of cult literature!

I put all my books, etc. out in the trash and guiltily hoped my witness neighbors down the street wouldn't see them. Now I wish I had saved some of the books.

It all went in the garbage. I dont even think I have one of those dinky bibles anymore.
Most of mine was boxed and parked squarely in front of the KH door one morning. I still have some here and there. Some of my mom's stuff is still in the basement and I am gradually throwing it out.
I realize that someday I will be dead, and I don't want my daughter or her kids having to touch this ugly shit. So it will be all gone before then. I still retain a few reference books, but as my mind heals I find it easier to throw out even that from time to time.

Sylvia, if you happen to have copies of the Organization book and the Ministry School Guidebook, I would love to have them. They are a couple of the books that are NOT on the CD ROM.

I do have copies - My mother, who deceased on 9-21-05, does also. That's why I'm in such a funk. I'm thinking about her death and how I was always so busy that I hardly had any time for her. When I muster the energy to go through everything, I'll give you a pm.

Awe (((((Sylvia))))) those anniversary dates always get us.....happens to me too. I have managed to successfully with much planning on my part make it through an anniversary date without so much as a nanosecond of a thought about the "dates" past history.
It helps to plan ahead, like you, I have so many "dates" wrapped up in memories of JW stuff and just about the time I think I'm doing good I start scrap booking again and there are those pictures......ugg! I have put most of the JW people in one box, not to be opened and some day I hope to have a burning box ceremony, I'm not there yet, sigh. My junk I'm holding onto, why???
I got rid of all but my Bible™ and Reasoning™ book, I may have one of the Song Books™ and my old book bag with my old service record book, why? LOL I guess after nearly 50 years in the B'org that's scaled down a lot! I was smart I left it all with my X when I left him! LOL
