I've got to do a paper on bureaucracy in sociology (waste of time) class in college. Since I never pass up a chance to "anti" witness, I'm doing it on the layers of bureaucracy within the witness organization.

Unfortunately I've thrown all my witnoid books away (yay for me!) so I need some info! Let me see if I've got the levels right.

    God Jehover
    Jebus
    Governing body
    Regular anointed
    Angels
    District Overseer
    Circuit Overseer
    Presiding Overseer
    Regular Elders
    Ministerial Servants
    Pioneers (Male)
    Publishers
    Joe Blows
    Small children and animals
    Worldly People
    Demons
    Satan

    Apostates

    Women...

So that's the list I came up with is that right? Am I missing a few levels? If anyone with a CD or library wants to help me with the research end of the paper let me know via pm or [email protected]!

You should relegate the regular anointed to a position beneath the pioneers because despite what they say in theory aboout their status in practice they are totally marginalised.

    Regular anointed

wouldn't this make reference to the fact that there must be another group of annointed from which they must be distinguished?

    Maybe an "unregular annointed"?

    mkr,

    Here's a fairly up-to-date source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organizational_structure_of_Jehovah's_Witnesses

It has a chart based on a 1971 Watchtower (which was the same year they put the elder arrangement into effect):

Here's another thread on this subject posted last year: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/113950/1.ashx

    Bethelite (not Elder)
    MS
