I think that makeup is essential in the competitive world of work. Without it, studies have proven that your chances of landing a job are reduced significantly. They will pick the pretty girl over the plain one. It's a fact. I am thinking about getting permanent makeup so I won't need to think about it everyday. I hate putting it on.

NYC, inexpensive and they don't do animal testing.

I don't use their foundation as I hate taking the time to put foundation on. But I wear their blush and mascara.

    Burts Bees for lip gloss.

ARBONNE has a great mascara. They run on the expensive side, but I know a woman who has always had incredibly sensitive eyes and couldn't wear mascara, but she could use the ARBONNE brand. I think you have to have a "consultant" though.

I rarely wear any makeup since I am so naturally beautiful. . . . . . Ok, lazy. I love BENEFIT lipstick, in Draped. They don't make that shade anymore, but I love the way it feels on my lips. Like applying silk. I like it so much I went online to find any leftovers. No more! I need to find another one of their shades that I like so much (draped is very natural colored, like my own before I got a bit faded:). I like lipstick that makes me look better w/o screaming that I am wearing lipstick

I rarely wear makeup anymore, just on special occasions, but I always use sunscreen, and have a good skincare routine that works for me.

When I do wear makeup, I like Marcelle oil free foundations and Physician's Formula powders because they blend away any blemishes or uneven skin tones. I use waterproof mascara and eyeliner and more natural coloured eye shadows and lip colours; I prefer products that work for me, rather than trying to work a line under a single brand name. I've figured out a mix-and-match of products that works well for me.

I much prefer nail polish to makeup. I like wearing funky colours on my toenails... purple, orange, blue, etc. Because I have to wash my hands so frequently at work, I usually skip nail polish on my fingers - it just chips and peels too much and looks unsightly within a couple of hours. I love buffing my nails though - it's the equivalent of using a very fine sandpaper on them and then a shining or polishing tool - they look and feel as though I have a French manicure - but it's natural.

Can anyone suggest a good make-up that is easy to put on for everyday? My good stuff takes too long. I like powder foundations but I never have found the perfect one.

Bare Minerals - crushed minerals; like a powder, but not technically a powder because it doesn't contain talc. It goes on quickly, evenly, and looks natural. It stays looking great all day. I love it. Before I tried Bare Minerals, I was an Estee Lauder fan for 15 years. I'm completely sold on Bare Minerals now, except I still like Estee Lauder's mascara and Double Wear concealer.

Does anyone have a favorite lipstick that doesn't add too much color? My lips are too full and if I put color on them thats all you see. I was teased for too many years in school about them so never wore lipstick. Funny at this point in time so many are getting plastic surgery to get full lips, but it hasn't changed my feelings about my mouth.

I need to put something on but have no idea what to do, because I have never learned what to do, and tried to minimize them as much as possible. Everything either feels sticky, or is off with in an hour.

Make-up is one of my favorite subjects. I even belong to a discussion board for this. it is so much fun.

Recently on the DB someone passed on a tip about facial primers. They said that monistat chafing powder gel would provide an excellent finish. I tried it and its amazing. Your skin feels like velvet. dimethione 1% main ingredient. It costs $-5 or so in drugstore. I got mine at the dollar store for $1. Great primer for eyes too. You won't believe how well your eye make- up will stay on. it feels so good on your skin. Smashbox photo finish was top rated by posters. .

Bare minerals has lots of loyal follower's. I use it when i can afford it. I also love Maybelle Ever fresh foundation. I like some of Rimmel's products (their mascara is the best i have ever used.I have skinny lashes and it works wonders.. Revlon's colorstay lip color is my favorite lipstick .

I always wear eyeliner and shadow. I like Allmay's products b/c I have sensitive eyes.

I'm a fan of Paula Begoun, "Don't go to the cosmetic counter without me" books and reviews. She is amazing. Really, go on line and read some of her reviews. You wont get ripped off anymore. Most unnecessary products ever- moisturizers. Most important product- sunscreens. amazing rips offs on wrinkle creams . I used to would have bought any thing before i read her reviews.

Try Wet and Wild products. They are very inexpensive and some are great. Their eyeshadow have strong color and will stay on.. I love their tinted moisturizer. I use it as a foundation most of the time.

If you have a nickel allergy, be sure and read ingredients. It may be in some cosmetics. I am very allergic to nickel and found out that the glitter products contain it.

I use cetaphil and baking soda for cleansing my skin. i use Retin-a for skin repair, and a topical estrogen ( both prescriptions)

    Hi Gals

    My Fav's...

Estee Lauder Double Wear Base (nothing else I have tried really compares)

The Body Shop Tea tree oil concealer

Ponds tinted moisturiser for those days when you dont really want to wear lots of make up (although I think this one has been discontinued so I am on the lookout for a new tinted moisturiser

    Maybeline Pink and Green Mascara

Almay translucent powder (silky and gorgeous)

Almay Eyeshadows (the one specific for your eyecolour)

Bobbi Brown Lip Shine (Blackberry) I have the same problem as restrangled - if I put a bright colour on, all you see on me is lips, but this one is great, silky smooth and soft colour!

I wish we had the bare minerals range here, it sounds like a winner.
