for most of October. We didn't anyone to worry.

About 3.5 weeks, The only problem with taking a long vacation is that my employer may decide that they can live with out me and I may not have a job when I get back. That is what happened to me in 2002, I wasn't surprised at all, when HR rep. came to my desk at 9:30 am, I said something like "me to", I had servived 15-20 layoffs in the 9.5 years I worked there.
