The other thing we usually do is, in a few weeks before the names are given out I will start a thread where everyone who is involved can post a few ideas of what sort of things they like etc and so when you get your name through you can go to the thread and look for the reply by the person you have been given to get some ideas
I'll give this topic a bump occassionally over the next week or so, so we can get people involved - I think we had around 70 people join in last year

I'll give it a try. Last year was my first Christmas after leaving the borg, and I was newly DA'd. I was a little unsure about the x-mas gift exchange through the forum. But this year - I'M IN!! Sounds fun.
