The Revelation book has always been hard to swallow. I think most dubs just ignore it or think it is just too "deep" for them. It's DEEP all right.

I couldn't face going to the Book Study tonight for the very same reasons you found it so awful. I went a couple of weeks ago and it felt like torture! I couldn't wait for it to finish and it felt like it was going on forever. I didn't answer up because I couldn't face saying such utter rubbish when I wanted to say what I really thought. There were only a handful of us there so there I felt uncomfortable and almost ran out the door when it was over.

Great post and what strength you showed for your friend. It's funny but I just got back from a good buddy of mine who is MS and has the big talk this sunday. Several in his fam have already told me to come and I prob will. I had set a goal here a JWD to do a bookstudy review each week after the meeting and just point out a few whoppers. I made one. I just could not take it, plus it is Sat morning and I am not a morining person.

Anyway, by buddy says he sure does miss me at bookstudy. Why? Because he cant stand the conductor, and my comments/questions "always make him squirm so bad." lol

I have not felt a need to attend meatings since 1999. Just walked out of a circus convention after an hour. Just didn't fit my needs anymore. The end.

I also agree the way they talk about Revelation is so grandiose and ridiculous at the same time, that it should apply to them a half baked cult that can't ever get its doctrines right.

But even Christ himself was refering to them earlier than John when he talked about the other sheep nearly 2000 years before they were due to appear. What a messed up cult.
