It's the police's job to ferret out the phony reporting, and the prosecutor's job to press trial. The accused can defend himself.

On point. Even those who make a living writing about the 5% of false reports, know that by far the majority of cases are in fact real. Jw [or any other religious leader in any other religion] elders have no place making a broad assumption that any child is lying. That could happen - but statistics don't back it happening all that often at all. And as stated, elders have no background for determining that.
