get rid of toxic people in your life (don't kill them - just oust them from your life) you'll be a lot healthier
go outside every day for some sunshine
laugh really hard about something every day
get rid of toxic people in your life (don't kill them
Is it OK to reserve that as an option if "plan A" does not work out?
Always be prepared to admit that the dietary regime you are following may be just another mind control cult.
sometimes it's good to just be quiet and listen.

Most important is not to become a Jehovah's Witness. If you already are one, then quit doing things that associate you with them. Disassociate, fade, do something to get disfellowshipped, but just get out.
There are plenty of other things you can do. Celebrating holidays is in fact helpful, whether you do Christmas, Hanukkah, or some other holiday (no, the Crapmorial does not count). This helps break up the routine, and can itself be therapeutic (sure beats Prozac or Paxil). A word of caution--if you go ballistic and run your credit cards to the max, you should be prepared for a nasty surprise in January when the bills come due. And never, ever drink and drive--that is, unless you want to end up in an accident and lose your license.
Dietwise, I think the Witlesses have the crappiest diets on the planet, and especially the pioneers. A trip to a fast food place once a month or less is no big deal, but when you have fast, good tasting poison every day for lunch, you are inviting all sorts of problems. Those "lunches" between the boasting session on Sunday and field circus just do not cut it. It is best to eliminate refined foods from the diet, but highly impractical. Eliminating high fructose corn syrup, monosodium glutamate, and aspartame will go a long way toward improving your general health--if you cannot totally eliminate them, just cutting back will also help some.
Supplements are also a plus. You cannot get all the vitamins you need from the food you eat these days, and many vitamins are crap. The best ones are the ones from an independent health food store (you do not want one that has ties with the drug companies). National brands are the worst offenders, since they are often offshoots of drug companies and they put out crap vitamins so they won't work and you will be right back on their drugs. Natural vitamin E, coral calcium, alpha lipoic acid, astragalus, vitamin C, a good B complex, and spirulina are among supplements that I recommend. As with any supplement program, you should research the nutrients before you start taking them so you can be led to the highest quality and optimum potency.
Finally, walk. A whole hour a day is best, at a reasonably brisk pace. No, going out in field circus does not count because you are going way too slowly and will be frequently stopping at doors. A steady hour a day does wonders--in fact, after I gained my Freshman 15 (X4), I lost it while still in college just walking 6 miles a day at least 6 days a week, and it did not come back until I had to quit walking so much to make room for field circus. Plus, it loses you the lard that is going to do the most harm--cleaning out your liver and other internal organs.
Smile some, each and everyday!
Natural does not mean safe!

Flipper what you said about fish especially oily fish is correct but that must be set against the fact that often fish have high levels of mercury, it depends where they got caught.
Eat a balanced diet that includes plenty of animal fat as long as there are also plenty of veg, fruit and legumes in the diet. Cholesterol is not the problem as many self serving deceivers have been claiming for decades now. Trans fats are the real problem as well as eating too much processed food. Avoid these and eat a little of everything else.
Wisconsin Cheddar.
At least a pound a day.
Limit water intake.
Within a year you'll be so full of it, the Writing Department will recruit you.
