Sir82, thanks for the tip. In other words, we would get less tipsie or no hang-overs?

Now, the ? is, what does it do for you?
What it does for me? I enjoy the taste....I don't drink the good stuff to get drunk, although I like the warm fuzzy feeling....
For instance, this Merlot I found...it has a very velvety, smooth texture, with a bit of a peppery finish. Very nice.

I enjoy both wine and beer on occasion. I just love the flavor possibilities.
I have acquired the habit of ordering a glass of Chardonnay with my meal whenever I eat at an Italian restaurant. Well, except Fazoli's. They always give me weird looks when I ask. (ew...just kidding, I think Fazoli's is disgusting. For those of you who don't know what Fazoli's is, it is a chain of "fast food" Italian.)
I am partial to Mexican beers. My favorite is Negra Modelo. Tecate isn't bad. Coronita is divine. Beer and Mexican cuisine go together so well, I think.
I love a good, hearty lager every once in a while. Guiness Extra Stout and Newcastle are a couple of a good ones. There is nothing like drinking a liquified loaf of bread in one sitting. lol...that's what it seems like, anyway. Does anyone have any recommendations? PM me, if you do. I'd like to learn of some good brands.
For just plain lounging around the house after a bit of work (or after a bit of lounging around the house for that matter), my favorite Pilsner comes to mind: good ole Budweiser.
Oh, and I avoid light beer if I can. What is the point?

Both, Red Wine or Dark Beer, but I prefer Single Malt Scotch and a nice cigar

If it's got alcohol, you can get "tipsy" - sulfites or not!
I think it would just get rid of that headache that some people report that they get with wine but not other alcoholic drinks.
Myself, I drink to cure the headaches!
Best wine I've tried - Dom Perignon 95...unfortunately the price is a bit prohibitive...

Sir82, good stuff. However, not everyone can afford expensive wines. I'm trying to keep this subject simple & afforable. Your suggestions are welcomed

I don't drink wine much, but I do. I drink it perhaps 3 or 4 times a month. I drink beer quite frequently though. I drink it every other day, downing 1 or 2. It seems to take a bit of the edge off.

In business I've had wine that costs $300.00 per bottle and I've also had wine that was $3.00 a bottle. I couldn't really tell the difference.
Is something wrong with me? Coke, RC Cola, Pepsi, Faygo Cola, and Wal-Mart Cola all taste the same too! Help!
