does anyone else shake their head asking, "how did I believe this BS in the first place?"

By the same token the other religions love to use the word "cult" in referrence to groups that do not adhere to the nicean council creed and other creeds . The WTBTS uses the word apostate to mean false religion or rebel from the org . which is considered Gods channel of communication to mankind by it's followers. There's no question in my mind that alot of "christian" beliefs are derived from paganism. The facts about christmas are easily found on the web and it's origins are from the feast of saturnalia so I don't argue about that . That is an example of apostasy .IMO The WTBTS does admit to having had apostate beliefs until they were able to trace it to it's origins and then dismiss it.

This is something the JWs should notice why are their leaders so afraid of open public debate with ex JWs or non JWs if they are so convinced that they are the supreme spiritual elite who lead the only true religion in this world.
Surely something doesn't add up there why do they lock themselves in the security of their Brooklyn tower and refuse to debate while sending the R&F to argue with people at their homes or in the streets? -

Hi Don,
The tactic of discrediting their critics is called "poisoning the well".
Another one they use is bait and switch. They start talking about "truth" and then they will switch to "rights".
Kingdom Halls are set up so which ever way you go, you have to walk past a printed soliciting for cash called a "Contribution Box". That's a version of the "four corner stall".
Literature is regularly written using a straw man tactic, that is debating an issue that's not the issue.
The Society uses shills to get people to follow. They use the Judas Goat tactic. Some pioneers are Judas Goats as are all of the Governing Body members. They want us to believe that Don Adams is powerless. -
