Welcome to JWD, Summer!!
I've done some reading of really old threads (2000, 2001,) and this place was quite a bit more rough and tumble back then.
Most of the time now, you will find supportive people who are ready to listen and ready to share their unique perspectives.
If you ever get the time, it's worth reading a few threads that included true-believing JWs trying to preach here. It's good mental practice for what you might face in the future on your own.
I look forward to hearing more from you.
