Are more men or women pulling up their tent pins?

  Is is just me or am I wrong? It appears that there are more men than women who are

  realizing the truth about "The Truth" and are leaving the organization either by "the fade"

  or just stopping. Is this because men don't have as many emotional ties to people

  they know as do women? When I look around the Hall that attend there are about

  3 women for every man. Why is that? I don't want to offend any of our female posters,

  but do men make rational conclusions quicker than women? Do women tend to need

  more details or proof then men to be convinced of something? I am just basing this

  on the firsthand information with my wife and other female family members.

  Please give me your opinions.

  Generalizations can get us into trouble.

  However, the emotional ties to the organization/friends/family do appear to be the main reason that many women have difficulty breaking from the cult in spite of serious doubts and concerns.

  MEN, especially those in positions of responsibility, get to see behind the curtain and see that the Wizard of OZ WT is nothing but a little old man group of little old men controlling our lives with antiquated, dusty reasonings based on a loose interpretation of the Bible a book of fantasy (sorry no offense intended to those who still believe in the bible, just my personal feelings). Its no surpise that we would be quicker to get out after seeing the truth about the truth lie

  As a former elder, etc... I seen first hand how those at the top really are.... thus my exit,......my fade is complete.....my complete freedom? not far behind

  Womyn tend to take a lot more time analyzing all the possible contengencies and consequences and rehash them over and over and over again before making such a serious move. Men are more rational in that they see that something is crap and and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that crap is to be avoided. Not exactly snap decisions, just not so 3rd degreeing the reasons.

  I agree with snakes. Womyn don't see all of that stuff, so maybe men get a head start on the intellectual reasons for leaving. Womyn are left in the dark to the facts that would help them leave sooner. What I said was right, too, though. Womyn are an analyzing and careful bunch.

  Actually, I just wanted to add that it would be interesting to see the ratio of men and women posters here. As long as I can remember there have alway been more women than men in the org. I remember counting at baptism time how many there were of each.

  I have noticed, or at least assumed, the same. I wonder how we can get statistics on this phenonomea.

  Also, is it possible that because of family ties or other reasons that women see the truth about the truth but are in a more difficult position to leave?

  Which is harder, an elder leaving the borg or the wife of an elder leaving the borg? My guess is that there are may wives that want to leave but can't

  IMO I don't think that the WT dellusion is bias to gender. Women may not sit in committee meetings and see all the contradictions first hand, but they know about it. Just ask an elder's wife and everyone in her car group that morning. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the giant crader-like holes in the WT reasoning that claims to possess the "truth". Once the fog of the dellusion starts to lift, it might be possible that women have a tendency to hang in their longer, struggle more, lie to themsleves more, and then FREAK OUT and go out in flames.

  Well, that was my experience anyway.

  Ever since I can remember, there have always been more women than men in the bOrg. But you may be

  right about who leaves first after finding out the truth about the "Troof". Women may hang on longer out

  of friendship ties and emotional connection, whereas, men do tend to be more cut and dried about matters.
