  I just had occasion to meet a fellow poster last weekend but mostly it seems to be the board although some here live in proximity to others and have meetups.
  
  So, fresh of the boat? DA'd? DF'd? Drifted away, faded?

  Online, this site is the best. I've been here 6 years so I feel I can say that.

  After a while, if you are able to tell your location (maybe in the private forum or the apostafest forum) you would be able to find other ex JW's who live in your area to meet up with. I'm heading to such a meetup in Minneapolis tonight with a few others.
