I have much to be thankful this year. Hubby and I continue to work out (and enjoy) our differences. My son has stayed off street drugs since February. My daughter and her little family live right next door. They are both coming in to their own as young adults, they make me proud. Naomi, my granddaughter, is a delight. Today, my daughter and I will share the turkey. Dad is coming to dinner, that old curmudgeon.
I count these as golden years, surpassed only by my young years as a single parent. But I was too tired at the time to realize how special it was.
