I went trick-or-treating for the FIRST time in my entire life last year! My friend has some little gals and we grown-ups had as much fun as they did dressing up and walking the neighborhood... it was awesome. She has such a great neighborhood, everyone REALLY gets into it! Can't wait for more of the same this year.
Thank heavens I didn't live there as a little girl who couldn't join them, hahaahaaa... that would have been pretty hellish.

We do not have Halloween in our,or neighboring counties anymore. We have "fall festivals" the weekend before Halloween, every church is participating with hay rides to and from each other, corn mazes, pumpkins projects, scarecrow stuffings, apple bobs etc etc. Funny how it seems that "Christendom" is starting to slowly have similar views as JWs... what is next...no trinity.

We're going to "Boo at the Zoo" this year. I have no idea what that is, but my wife and young 'un seem to be excited about it.
As far as costumes go her mind changes depending on what time of day it is, last time I asked it was SpongeBob. She reminds me of Liv Tyler as Arwen in the Lord of the Rings so I might accidentally on purpose play her the scene in the movie where Arwen spirits Frodo away to Rivendell. She loves princesses and horses and watching that scene might swing her away from the "absorbant and yellow and porous is he" one.
I will be dressing this year as an over-protective dad. My costume will consist of a utility belt with flashlight(s), bandaid boxes and rolls of reflective tape. If I could only
stealborrow a portable x-ray machine for the candy she receives, I'd be set. -

Hosting a party for my daughter's preschool friends and some of the parents. Probably pin the tail on the mummy or pin the broom on the witch or something along those lines.
Burgers/hot dogs, and spooky punch. Some other snacks and games and closing the evening off with It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
Our front yard is host to a graveyard, hanging ghosts on the porch awning, spider webbing on the bushes. We're putting out more tombstones today or tomorrow as well as orange lights.
The Friday before we're going to the Detroit Zoo Boo. On Halloween itself, we'll take the kids trick or treating around here and possibly out in another area that really does it up pretty cool. The neighbors of this particular location, like 6 blocks, get together and throw basically a massive Halloween party. Last year we went and got hot chocolate :D
